About WH Ireland

WH Ireland traces back to 1884 as a Manchester stockbroker and grew into a national wealth management and corporate broking firm listed on AIM. In 2016, the FCA fined WH Ireland Limited 1.2 million pounds and banned its Corporate Broking Division from taking new clients for 72 days, after weak controls let market abuse risks go unchecked during 2013.

The firm began a strategic review in 2023 and sold its Capital Markets and corporate broking business to Zeus Capital Limited in June 2024, leaving a smaller wealth management operation. In November 2025, Jersey based TEAM plc agreed an all share takeover of the remaining WH Ireland Group plc, worth about 12.7 million pounds.

The deal closed and WH Ireland shares left the AIM market on 25 March 2026. TEAM plans to rebrand the wealth management arm as Neba Private Clients, so the WH Ireland name is being phased out even though existing client accounts continue under the new owner.
