UP Fintech launched Tiger Brokers in China in 2014 and listed on Nasdaq in 2019 under the ticker TIGR. Tiger Brokers (Singapore) Pte Ltd holds a Capital Markets Services license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore and keeps client money and assets in segregated trust accounts.
The group now serves more than 10 million users and 2.3 million account holders across Singapore, Hong Kong, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand, holding 77 licenses and qualifications worldwide. Clients trade stocks, options, and futures through its app.
On 22 May 2026 the CSRC's Beijing Bureau fined UP Fintech subsidiaries about 308.1 million yuan and confiscated a further 103.1 million yuan for running unlicensed cross border securities, fund, and futures business in mainland China. CEO Tianhua Wu received a personal fine too, and regulators named this part of a wider crackdown covering Tiger Brokers, Futu Securities, and Longbridge Securities.
