About Old Mutual Securities

Old Mutual Securities traces back to 1992, when it was incorporated as Reliable Securities Limited, the eighth licensed stockbroker on the Nairobi Securities Exchange. It later became part of the Old Mutual Group, operating for years under the Old Mutual Securities name.

In September 2025, Kweli Capital Limited, an East African technology focused investment firm founded in 2018, acquired a majority stake in the business from Old Mutual Group. The company has since fully rebranded as OMNI MARCHE SECURITE (OMS) Africa Limited. Kenya's CMA register now lists this new name under stockbroker license number 020, and the firm's own website carries no more Old Mutual branding.

OMS Africa is not a forex or CFD broker. It offers bonds, treasury bills, market access and execution, and sponsoring broker services on the Nairobi Securities Exchange, so figures like spreads and leverage do not apply here.
