About Maven Investment Partners

Maven, also known as Maven Securities, is a London proprietary trading and options market making group founded in 2011. Its main UK company, Maven Investment Partners Ltd, was first registered as Maven Trading Ltd until a 2015 name change. That old name can be confused with an unrelated modern website, Maven Trading, which sells retail funded trader challenges. The two are not connected.

Maven trades only its own capital from offices in London, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Singapore, Chicago, New York, and Sydney. It opens no retail accounts, so a minimum deposit or spread does not apply here. The group says it became FCA authorised in 2014 through a linked entity, Maven Derivatives, later dissolved. Sources gave conflicting license numbers, so one live FCA reference could not be confirmed.

The FCA separately warned about a fake firm, Maven Investor, that copied the real Maven Derivatives name. Maven's own site claims around 386 staff by 2023, a figure not checked against audited accounts.
