Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Former clients moved to GBE Brokers, itself a real CySEC and BaFin licensed firm
  • GBE Brokers gave former JFD clients a wider platform choice, including TradingView
  • The JFD name still exists through a separate Vanuatu regulated entity
  • GBE Brokers has served the German speaking market since 2014

Cons

  • The original CySEC regulated JFD Brokers business no longer exists on its own
  • The remaining JFD Overseas entity uses a lighter Vanuatu VFSC license
  • Its former UK FCA registration has lapsed since Brexit
  • The Cyprus JFD entity today is only a payment agent, not a regulated broker
About JFD Brokers

JFD Group Ltd built JFD Brokers into a CySEC regulated CFD broker under license number 150/11, known for strong German speaking support. Over the years it also added a UK FCA passported presence, though that FCA registration has since lapsed after Brexit.

On April 14, 2026, Germany focused broker GBE Brokers announced an asset deal to take over nearly all JFD Brokers clients and partner relationships, worth an eight figure sum across a four digit number of accounts. GBE Brokers is itself CySEC licensed under number 240/14, with a BaFin licensed Hamburg branch, and now holds the old JFD client base.

The JFD name has not disappeared completely. JFD Overseas Ltd still runs a separate CFD business from Vanuatu, under a lighter VFSC license, number 17933, aimed at clients outside the EU. A Cyprus company, JFD Services Ltd, now only acts as a payment agent for that Vanuatu entity, so it is not itself a regulated broker.
