- A 2014 Zurich court case ordered Dukascopy to return CHF 775,000 in profit
- Independent reviewers report slow withdrawals and repeat identity checks

- Minimum deposits and fees can run higher than many online only rivals
Dukascopy Bank SA started as a small Geneva brokerage in 2004, built by Andre and Veronika Duka. FINMA granted it a full banking license in 2010 and added securities dealer status soon after. The group now also runs licensed units in Latvia and Japan, plus a branch in Lugano.
The bank runs its own JForex platform on an ECN model linked to more than 20 banks, alongside MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. JForex spreads start near 0.1 pips, and leverage can reach 1:200, since Swiss rules are not capped like EU rules. Dukascopy also offers current accounts and cards through its banking side.
In 2014, a Zurich court confirmed a client churning case run by outside investment managers and ordered Dukascopy to return CHF 775,000 in related profit, though no criminal charge hit the bank itself. Independent reviews still mention slow payouts and repeat document checks. Dukascopy does not accept clients from the United States or a short list of sanctioned countries.
