United Capital Markets is a Miami broker dealer that buys and sells distressed mortgage bonds, commercial mortgage bonds, and other asset backed debt for institutional clients. Florida records show the firm has been registered since 1996, and its own history page says founder John Devaney opened the trading desk in 1999 after the Long Term Capital Management crisis.
This is not a retail forex or CFD broker. There is no public sign up page, no MetaTrader platform, and no listed minimum deposit for ordinary traders. United Capital Markets deals directly with insurance companies, hedge funds, and other dealers in bonds such as CMBS, RMBS, and CLOs.
FINRA still lists the firm as an approved broker dealer in 41 states, with no gap in its registration. In September 2025, FINRA censured the firm and fined it 25,000 dollars for not properly supervising trading done by one of its own senior executives. Outside that single case, no other bar or suspension is on file.
