TradeZero is a group of broker dealers under TradeZero Holding Corp. TradeZero America Inc, based in Brooklyn, New York, is SEC registered and a member of FINRA and SIPC. TradeZero Inc, based in Nassau, is registered only with the Securities Commission of The Bahamas under license SIA F151. Separate units also cover Canada and the Netherlands.
The broker is built for active stock and options traders, with tools like a patented short locator, Level 2 data, and four platforms including the newer TZ1. TradeZero America needs $2,500 to start active trading, while the Bahamas entity for international clients opens from $500. Most listed stock trades above $1 carry no commission, though small orders add extra fees.
FINRA fined TradeZero America $250,000 in 2024 for weak checks on paid social media promoters and a privacy notice error. On the plus side, FINRA removed the old $25,000 pattern day trader rule in June 2026, easing limits on frequent trading.
