Pros
- Publishes clear spreads, leverage, and account terms on its live site
- Discloses the New Zealand license cancellation instead of hiding it
- Offers MetaTrader with a fast, modern trading interface
- Keeps client money in segregated accounts according to its own policy
Cons
- New Zealand's FMA canceled its Rockfort Markets derivative issuer license in 2024
- FMA found eight license breaches, including misleading advertising
- Cites an Australian AFSL number that public records tie to a different, non trading business
- Its Saint Vincent and the Grenadines registration grants no real oversight
- Some independent reviewers report problems getting withdrawals paid
- Excludes New Zealand residents after losing its license there
RockGlobal is a CFD broker offering forex, metals, and indices through MetaTrader. It traded in New Zealand as Rockfort Markets Limited before switching to the RockGlobal name in May 2023. New Zealand's FMA canceled Rockfort's derivative issuer license on 19 July 2024 for breaking eight license conditions, including misleading advertising.
RockGlobal's site now excludes New Zealand residents because of that cancellation. It also cites an Australian AFSL number, 282288. Public records show that license belongs to a firm that only gives consulting advice and holds no client funds, which does not match a retail CFD broker, so treat this claim with real caution.
A third entity, RockGlobal International LLC, is registered in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, a registration RockGlobal itself says grants no real license. Some independent reviewers report withdrawal problems too. Given the lost New Zealand license and the unclear Australian claim, be cautious before funding an account here.
