- Marex Financial holds a real, checkable FCA licence, number 442767
- Carries an investment grade S&P credit rating of BBB for Marex Financial
- Some structured notes are listed for retail investors on European exchanges
Cons
- Grew through many acquisitions, its brand history is complex to follow

Marex Solutions is the structured products and OTC derivatives arm of Marex Group plc. Marex began in 2005, bought commodity broker Spectron in 2011 to become Marex Spectron, then simplified its name back to Marex. The Solutions division grew out of that business to design custom hedging and investment products.
Marex has grown mainly through acquisitions. It bought most of ED&F Man Capital Markets in 2022 for about $233.6 million, added Cowen's prime brokerage arm in 2023, and picked up Volcap and Pinnacle Fuel soon after. Marex Group plc listed on the Nasdaq in April 2024 at $19 a share, under the ticker MRX.
The main regulated entity, Marex Financial, is authorised by the FCA under registration number 442767, and carries an S&P rating of BBB. Marex Solutions serves banks, brokers, and wealth managers with structured notes and digital asset products, some listed for retail investors on European exchanges.
