LCG, short for London Capital Group, has traded from London since 1996. Its parent company became the Swiss firm FlowBank. In June 2024, the Swiss regulator FINMA forced FlowBank into bankruptcy over a capital shortfall, and liquidators are still trying to find a buyer for LCG.
The FCA register still lists LCG as authorised, reference number 182110, but with a live restriction that stops the firm from holding or controlling client money. LCG now works as an introducing broker for IG Group, which supplies the pricing, execution, and platform behind the scenes while LCG focuses on client relationships.
Traders can use LCG Trader or MetaTrader 4, covering forex, indices, commodities, and share CFDs. The FCA has also published several warnings about unrelated clone firms that copy the LCG name and license number to trick people, so always check you reached the real lcg.com site before you send any money.
