  • Faced regulatory warnings or bans in Australia, Singapore, India, Brazil, and Indonesia
About IQ Option

IQ Option launched in 2013 in Cyprus and became known worldwide for binary options. Its regulated arm, IQ Option Europe Ltd, held CySEC license 247/14 from 2014, but was fined 180,000 euros in 2016 for weak marketing practices, then settled again with CySEC for 450,000 euros in 2019 over conflicts of interest.

That same Cyprus license now belongs to a company CySEC lists as IQBroker Europe Ltd, formerly IQOption Europe Ltd, so the IQ Option name is no longer tied to an active EU license. CySEC also dropped the old entity from its crypto register in 2023. The FCA says the firm is winding down old UK accounts, and flagged its site for wrongly claiming full authorisation.

Outside Europe, the IQ Option brand still markets itself widely, but regulators in Australia, Singapore, India, Brazil, and Indonesia have issued warnings, fines, or bans against it over the years. Check exactly which company and license, if any, stands behind an IQ Option account before depositing money.
