About HFX

HFX is a forex and CFD broker that started in Jakarta in 2006. Its Indonesian company is PT. HFX Internasional Berjangka, once named PT. Fortis Asia Futures. This entity is licensed by BAPPEBTI, Indonesia's commodity futures regulator, and mainly serves traders who live in Indonesia.

Indonesian clients trade forex, metals, energies, and indices on MetaTrader 4. Accounts start at $100, with leverage up to 1:200 on the Mini account. People outside Indonesia are usually pointed to a different company, HFX Trade, based in Anjouan and Dubai. HFX Trade uses MetaTrader 5 and holds only a license from the Anjouan Offshore Finance Authority, a small offshore regulator with light rules.

Neither license comes from a major regulator like the FCA or ASIC. BAPPEBTI only protects clients inside Indonesia, and Anjouan offers almost no real investor protection. We found no proof of fraud at HFX, but the split structure and light offshore rules mean traders outside Indonesia carry real risk.
