About Genghis Capital

Genghis Capital Limited is a Nairobi investment bank that became a licensed Capital Markets intermediary in 2008. Pamoja Capital took over the firm in 2016. It is licensed by Kenya's Capital Markets Authority and the Retirement Benefits Authority.

The firm trades NSE listed shares, bonds, and over the counter instruments, and it runs money market and pension products through its own G Kuze app and ActiveTrader portal. Genghis also had liquidity trouble in 2016 when its main bank, Chase Bank, went into receivership.

In January 2025, Kenya's CMA said it was engaging Genghis Capital over unmet contractual debt owed to a stakeholder, though it confirmed client fund accounts stay separate from the firm's own money. Ask about this directly before you commit new funds.
