Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Its United States clients moved to GAIN Capital, a real NFA regulated broker
  • The 2013 exit from the United States market was a clear public announcement
  • Original company traced back to 2001, a long history before it closed down
  • No recent scam reports exist since the brand does not solicit clients now

Cons

  • Its old domain is reported as unused or listed for sale by broker directories
  • No current regulator listing could be found for FX Solutions itself
  • Anyone claiming to be FX Solutions today cannot be verified as genuine
About FX Solutions

FX Solutions opened in 2001 as a United States forex broker. City Index Group bought it in 2008, and it kept its own brand while operating as part of that larger group.

In 2013, GAIN Capital Group LLC, the firm behind FOREX.com, agreed to take over FX Solutions United States retail customer accounts. Both companies announced the move directly, and City Index Group said it would then focus the FX Solutions brand on the Middle East and Asia instead of the United States.

By 2026, FX Solutions no longer looks active anywhere. Third party broker lists mark its old domain as unused or for sale, and no current regulator record could be found for the brand. City Index Group itself was later bought by GAIN Capital in 2014, and GAIN Capital was bought by StoneX Group in 2020, so any trace of FX Solutions now sits inside that much larger company.
