About EuropeFX

EuropeFX was a CFD and forex trading brand. Maxiflex Ltd ran it in Cyprus for European clients from around 2014. A related company, Maxi EFX Global AU Pty Ltd, ran it in Australia. Both parts of the business are now closed and cannot legally take new clients.

CySEC fined Maxiflex 370,000 euros in 2020 for rule breaks, and the UK FCA cut off its permission to serve British clients that year. CySEC suspended the Cyprus license in October 2021. Maxiflex then gave it up, and CySEC fully withdrew the license on 6 March 2023 for not keeping client money separate from company funds.

In Australia, courts found that EuropeFX pressured inexperienced customers, who lost more than 83 million Australian dollars between 2018 and 2020. In June 2026, the Federal Court fined EuropeFX 114.1 million Australian dollars, banned it from financial services permanently, and ordered it to refund customer deposits.
