Pros
- Holds a real Financial Services Commission of Mauritius investment dealer licence
- Wide range of markets listed, including forex, stocks, indices, and crypto
- Fast digital account opening, with verification often done within a day
- A 2023 compliance review found no clear evidence of it being a scam
Cons
- A compliance watchdog says it serves US, UK, and EU clients without permission there
- EEA clients were offered leverage up to 1 to 1000, far above the EU 1 to 30 retail limit
- Its Saint Vincent entity only has a company registration, not a real trading licence
- Independent trackers rate its overall compliance and licence clarity poorly
Capital Street FX offers forex, stocks, indices, and crypto trading through Capital Street Intermarkets Limited in Mauritius. The Financial Services Commission of Mauritius lists it as a licensed investment dealer, licence number C112010690. A related Saint Vincent company in its group only holds a business registration, not a real trading licence.
Compliance researcher FinTelegram gave Capital Street FX a red rating in 2023. Its report found most website visitors came from the United States, the EEA, and the UK, markets where the broker has no permission to operate. It also found leverage up to 1 to 1000 offered to EEA clients, well above the 1 to 30 limit EU rules allow for retail traders.
FinTelegram stopped short of calling Capital Street FX a scam, and did not find major customer complaints at that time. Still, operating in markets without permission is a real regulatory problem, not a small paperwork issue, so treat any promise of strong protection here with caution.
