Alvexo Review

Forex BrokerUnknown

Alvexo left EU regulation in 2024 after CySEC fines and a license surrender. It now runs under a Seychelles FSA license, a much lighter regulatory regime.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Now holds a real, checkable Seychelles FSA securities dealer license
  • CySEC's own filings make its full regulatory history easy to verify
  • Offers a wide range of CFD markets across forex, stocks, and metals

Cons

  • CySEC fined its old EU operator twice, in 2021 and again in 2024
  • Gave up its Cyprus license in November 2024 and left the EU market
  • Now regulated only by Seychelles FSA, a much lighter regime than CySEC
  • EU clients lose access to investor compensation schemes under this setup
  • Its license had already been partly suspended once, back in 2022
About Alvexo

Alvexo built its name as a CFD broker regulated in Cyprus by VPR Safe Financial Group Ltd, under CySEC license 236/14. That record was not clean. CySEC fined the firm 100,000 euros in 2021, then partly suspended its license in August 2022 over an issue tied to an outside agent, before reversing the suspension in October 2023.

The trouble did not end there. In November 2024, CySEC reached another settlement with VPR Safe Financial Group, this time for 50,000 euros over conduct of business and reporting breaches. VPR Safe Financial Group then handed back its Cyprus license entirely and closed the EU side of Alvexo's business that same month.

Alvexo now trades under HSN Capital Group Ltd, holding Seychelles FSA license number SD030 as a securities dealer. That is real regulation, but it sits far below what CySEC or the FCA require, with weaker capital rules and no access to an EU style investor compensation fund.
