Pros
- Keeps the same ASIC license, AFSL 313016, that AETOS carried since 2007
- The 2026 sale was a full share transfer, so open trades were not affected
- Uses MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, platforms most traders already know
- Standard accounts open with a low 100 AUD minimum deposit
Cons
- The AETOS brand plus its old UK, Vanuatu, and Mauritius licenses are all gone
- New owner Dynamic Fintech has held the license for only a few months so far
- Only CFDs are offered, so you never own the actual shares, forex, or metal
- MT4 and MT5 kept showing the AETOS name for weeks after the May 2026 rename
AETOS started in 2007 as an Australian CFD broker trading forex, metals, energy, and shares. It grew into a global group with extra offices in the UK and Mauritius, controlled by Chinese businessman Yongqiang Lu. The group left the Chinese market in 2019 and slowly closed its other units after that.
In 2025, AETOS gave back its Vanuatu license and gave up its FCA license in the UK. Only the Australian company, AETOS Capital Group Pty Ltd, stayed open. In March 2026, the owners sold this last unit to Dynamic Fintech Solutions, an Australian fintech firm. The sale covered the whole company and its ASIC license, so client accounts did not change.
On 22 May 2026, the company changed its name to Zero Markets Australia Pty Ltd. It still trades under the same ASIC license, number 313016, and offers CFDs on forex, shares, metals, and indices through MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. Anyone who searches for AETOS should know the brand is gone and the license now sits inside Zero Markets.
