Joao Monteiro founded 4XC in 2018. The broker trades under 4xCube Limited, based in the Cook Islands. In late 2025 it also set up a newer entity, 4XC Digital Ventures Ltd, in Labuan, Malaysia. Its operations are run mostly out of New Zealand.
The Cook Islands Financial Supervisory Commission only lists 4xCube Limited as a licensed money changer, not as a forex or investment firm. This means 4XC runs its trading business without real oversight of client money or trading conduct from that regulator.
Trading conditions are ordinary for this kind of broker. MetaTrader 4 and 5 accounts start at 50 dollars, forex leverage reaches 1 to 500, and a 30 dollar fee applies after just 30 days without a trade. 4XC does segregate funds and use an outside auditor, but there is no investor compensation fund if it ever fails.
