- Extra account insurance up to one million euros through Lloyds of London
- Won Best Forex Trading Platform at the Global Forex Awards in 2022

Cons
- No tier one regulator such as the FCA, ASIC or NFA backs this broker
- Not available to traders in the UK, the US, Australia or Belgium
- Trustpilot reviewers report slow withdrawals tied to source of funds checks
- One trader says Skilling cancelled a large profit over an off market rule
- Premium account needs a 5,000 euro deposit to reach the tightest spreads
- Leverage reaches 1:500 through the Seychelles entity, far above the EU 1:30 retail cap
Skilling began in 2016 as Finovel Cyprus Ltd, founded by three Scandinavian entrepreneurs. It later took the Skilling name and won a CySEC license in Cyprus in 2018. A separate Seychelles entity serves traders outside Europe. Skilling does not accept clients from the UK, the US, Australia or Belgium.
Traders can choose Skilling Trader, cTrader, MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 or TradingView, more choice than most rivals give. The Standard account needs only 100 euros and charges no commission, with spreads from 0.8 pips. A Premium account cuts spreads to 0.1 pips plus a small commission, but needs 5,000 euros to open. Retail leverage is capped at 1:30 under EU rules.
Skilling holds a 4.0 out of 5 score on Trustpilot from around 430 reviews, a solid but not outstanding result. Several 1 star reviewers say Skilling asked for extra proof of where their money came from, then took weeks to pay out. One trader also said Skilling cancelled a large profit, citing an off market trading rule.
