About NexGen Futures Trader

Nexgen Futures Trader launched around the end of 2024 as a futures prop trading firm. It was built by John Novak, who has run futures trader education through Nexgen Software Services since the year 2000. Traders bought a challenge, followed set rules, and could reach a funded, simulated account.

The nexgenfuturestrader.com site now shows only a placeholder page. The active product today is Nexgen ProTrader Funding, run by the same Nexgen team from Sarasota, Florida. Its legal entity, Nexgen ProTrader Funding LLC, was registered with the Florida Division of Corporations in February 2024 and still shows as active.

Nexgen is not a bank or a broker itself. It trades through AMP Futures, a real US futures broker, so its long list of restricted countries follows AMP's compliance rules, not just Nexgen's own choice. A Trustpilot reviewer in 2025 said the firm blocked a payout after changing its rules, a claim Nexgen publicly disputed point by point in its reply.
