Pros & Cons

Pros

  • The final entity held a real, checkable FSCA license in South Africa
  • Gave existing traders a clear refund and payout deadline before closing
  • Covered common markets like forex, indices, crypto and metals on MetaTrader 5
  • Was upfront on its own website about the final shutdown

Cons

  • The original prop trading business was never regulated by any authority
  • Changed its name twice in under two years, which confused traders
  • The whole company is now closed and takes no clients today
  • Some traders reported refunds paid only in crypto, not their original method
About MyFundedFX

MyFundedFX began in 2022 as MyFunded Solutions LLC, based in Dallas, Texas. It sold trading challenges instead of normal accounts. A trader paid a fee, passed a test, then got a funded account and a share of the profits. This is a prop trading business, not a bank, and it held no financial license then.

In February 2025, MyFundedFX renamed itself SeacrestFunded and linked with a new sister broker, Seacrest Markets, registered in South Africa under FSCA license 53315. The plan was to pair prop challenges with a real regulated broker. It did not last. On February 6, 2026, Seacrest Markets closed every challenge and funded account and stopped all prop trading.

Traders had until February 28, 2026 to claim a refund or final payout through the company dashboard. Seacrest Markets said it would keep running as a plain CFD broker after that. The live website today shows only a notice that the whole company is closed, so readers should not deposit money or start a challenge with this brand.
