FundedNext launched its Labs division on 21 July 2026 with FNL:001, a $99.99 simulated $50,000 account carrying a 6 percent profit target. Its defining feature was no daily loss limit, replaced by a $2,000 end-of-day trailing maximum loss. FundedNext explicitly described Labs as a controlled environment for testing new structures in live conditions.

Two weeks later, on 4 August, FNL:002 restored a 4 percent daily loss limit on a $25,000 account, alongside a 12 percent static maximum loss. The company explained why it increased the overall maximum from its standard 10 percent, but did not publicly explain why the no-daily-loss feature disappeared.

Were Existing FNL:001 Accounts Changed?

No. FundedNext's materials say accounts purchased during the FNL:001 window retain their original rules. The change affected the next product rather than retroactively altering existing accounts.

What Live Testing Means for Paying Traders

FundedNext was unusually direct that customers were participating in a live product test. That transparency does not disclose the result. Traders who paid to test the headline condition could reasonably expect an explanation when it vanished from the next release.

Naming the experiment is only half the transparency

FundedNext deserves credit for labelling Labs as live testing. But when the defining feature disappears after one release, publishing what the company learned would let customers judge whether the experiment delivered meaningful evidence.
